Dear John Fisher Parents/Guardians:
The first day of another school year has arrived and with it comes a great deal of excitement. We are looking forward to a very productive year at John Fisher as parents, staff and students work together through the many new learning experiences that are ahead of us.
We hope that you all had an opportunity to relax and enjoy time with family and friends in the fabulous summer weather. We would like to welcome back all the students who are returning to John Fisher and a special welcome is extended to all of the new Junior Kindergarten children and to all who are new to our school and community. We are very pleased to welcome the following staff members to our school: Ms. D. Drago (Library), Ms. J. Marchand (Phys Ed & Special Education) and Ms. X. Neville (Music),
I want to take this opportunity to thank all of the parents, staff and students for your very warm welcome as I officially joined your school community as Principal of John Fisher on September 1st, 2010. I am looking forward to working with you and learning as much as I can about the traditions and culture of John Fisher P.S. in the months and year ahead. I am also very interested in determining key areas of focus in consultation with you, staff, community members and other stakeholders.
I would like to thank our caretaking, office and teaching staff for their hard work in preparing for school opening. I would also like to thank the many parents on the School Council and various committees for their efforts to assist and support us with a number of important organizational and communication details. Finally, a note of appreciation goes out to Mr. Pelletier, Vice-Principal, for his invaluable organization and assistance to me during the summer months .
