Lice Check Today

Our second lice check will take place today at the beginning of the school day in the classrooms.

The public nurse will be on hand to help out. Her name is Lori Watling. She will be an excellent resource to train new parent volunteers and those lucky people who have never seen lice before and she will also be in charge of liaising with the families of children that end up having lice (i.e. doing the parent calls and educating them on recommended next steps).

All children who are absent on the lice check day will be checked when they return to school.

Parents have the right to refuse for their child(ren) to be checked but if they do they must bring a note from the child(ren)’s doctor indicating that they have been checked by their doctor and they are lice free.
