Grade 5 Badminton Team Demonstrates Commitment

After a hasty trip to Hillcrest P.S., our gr. 5 Badminton team pulled out all the stops and played very good, strategic badminton. We had good success against our first adversaries – McMurrich; excellent performance versus Hillcrest; and heated play against Palmerston with lots of 3rd game tiebreakers. Mostly, Danny and M. Lalonde want to congratulate the players for their commitment to improving and their spirit of healthy competition. Unfortunately, only the first 2 teams advance to the next round of competition. John Fisher to celebrate Earth Hour

 Along with the rest of the TDSB, John Fisher P.S. will be observing Earth Hour on Friday, March 30 from 2 to 3 p.m.  At that time, our school will:

1)      turn off all interior lighting except necessary emergency lights

2)      log off workstations and allow them to go into standby mode

3)      turn off all fans.

For the official global Earth Hour on Saturday, March 31, 8:30 – 9:30 p.m., all schools and offices in TDSB will follow the same steps wherever possible.

Happy March Break

The staff hopes that every family will have a very happy and relaxing March Break. Whether you are traveling or staying at home, we trust that you will have a great break from the regular routines! School will reopen on Monday, March 19th.

We are all looking forward to our talent show tomorrow afternoon beginning at 1 p.m. in the gym. The grade 4, 5, and 6 participants have worked very hard to perfect their performances and are anxious to showcase their talents for the whole school.
